Amazing Race
PPL Amazing Race is an incredible team building event modeled after the popular television series. It blends the concept of people’s competition and collaboration as realistically happening in the corporate world.
Participants will be divided into sub-teams and placed in a race-against-time to complete a series of team building station challenges. They try to earn as many points as possible during the time allotted. Each team departs from the start point by deciphering a number of word puzzles and receiving their first travel clue. Arriving at each race destination, teams must enter into a physical, cognitive or social challenge. The challenges are uniquely designed to add humor, drama, and highly creative interactions with the public. Teams will also have the opportunity to use the usual race mechanics such as “Yield”, “Detours” and “Fast Forwards” to strategically position their team for the winning slot. Bottom line, each team must strive to complete the tasks as best as possible while looking out for other teams’ traps. Depending on the program design, small teams may even collaborate along the race route to produce interdependent score totals.
At the end of the race, teams will realize the importance and impact of interdependent efforts, flexibility in planning and execution, emotional intelligence, strategy, collaboration and trust.
Awards and prizes await the winning teams. A great experience of team building, individual bonding, fun, competition and learning!
